As proprietress of MoonDance Botanicals, Tonja combines her close connection to earth and nature with a keen eye for business. The boutique, which has recently relocated to Sixth Avenue, showcases Tonja’s handcrafted artisan bath and body products.
Tonja left the corporate world in 1999 to follow her true calling and become an herbalist. After earning a certificate from the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies in Boulder, she traveled to Ireland to hone her skills with a traditional Celtic herbalist. Tonja taps the ancient Irish wisdom and magic learned during her studies when she creates her all-natural line of MoonDance Botanicals bath, body, and home products.
The line, which spans the gamut from gentle soaps and healing body oils to herbal teas, aphrodisiacs, and holistic face care, is handcrafted onsite using organic, pure ingredients. Several media outlets, including the Denver Post, have featured the unique line, which includes all-natural cleaning products.
Customizing herbal blends enables Tonja to fulfill a passion to reconnect with nature and act as a guide for others who seek pure products that heal and nurture mind and body.
To expand her circle, Tonja teaches a series of natural living/ herbal classes at the Denver Botanic Gardens and at her store, which relocated to a historic apothecary shop on Sixth Avenue in Denver. Classes, which provide students with an opportunity to assemble herbs for pampering and therapeutic uses, are scheduled throughout the year along with a four-month training course in Celtic herbs and spirituality.
